The Bergen band Vilnes offers a powerhouse of a concert experience - with a varied song universe that blends americana, folk rock, indie pop and country soul.
Vocalist and songwriter Eivind Vilnes has previously been described as an "indie pop genius" (Nordic Music Review) and an artist "of international calibre", highlighted as a vocalist with an "impressive voice and excellent communicative ability" (BT).
The debut album Outsider was released in 2025. All three singles before the album release were radio-listed, and «Outlaw» was selected for Spotify's playlist "en god dose country".
After a sold-out release concert Vilnes has been active with tours and concerts in among others Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen. They received much praise at Øya-tirsdag during Øyafestivalen, with feedback such as "why have I not heard of you before - you should already have 3 Spellemannpriser".
The band is now planning the release of a new album in spring 2027 - with songs that nod to among others Michael Kiwanuka, The Heavy and Jeff Buckley.
