Welcome into the world of Vinterhagen. A sphere where songs grow, sounds flourish and ideas branch out into a musical ecosystem you can dream yourself away in to infinity. Liv Andrea Hauge, Fredrik Luhr Dietrichson and Andreas Skår Winther have developed a fruitful interplay where strong songs and fine melodies are underpinned by solid craftsmanship, exploratory improvisations and creative arrangements. The three musicians played together for the first time in Liv's ensemble, a band she put together for a commissioned work for Kongsberg jazzfestival and Oslojazz in the summer of 2022. They enjoyed playing together so much that they simply started a trio as well.
The debut album «Veksthuset» was released in autumn 2024 on Jazzland Recordings. It was recorded at Ugla Lyd with Morten Qvenild at the controls. About the record music reviewer Audun Vinger writes: «It must have been a perfect match for the crew, as things flow nicely forward when they have peeled the onion down to three people – something they demonstrate with equality, a coherent sound and necessary variation through nine melodies. (...) the latest addition Vinterhagen is yet another triumph.»
