We Met In June is a breath of fresh air on the Norwegian music scene, blending Americana, country and pop to build bridges between Nashville and the Norwegian fjords. Their music is both nostalgic and innovative, with clear references to the legendary Fleetwood Mac as well as modern country-pop giants like Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift.
The duo consists of the couple Sara Rose Zadig and Gjest Ingeson Kvåle. They released their debut album Loving Living in February 2024, and already in autumn 2025 the follow-up album Going Home was released. Music critic Tor Martin Bøe of Dag og Tid writes:

Since their debut in 2023, We Met In June have played over 100 concerts in Norway, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, and won the «Breakthrough of the Year» award at the Luttprisen 2024. On Friday 20 March, the duo comes to Statsraaden with their band.
