The band name itself is a tribute to the Oscar Peterson Trio's album "We Get Requests" from 1964. It is a shared love and affection for this record that the trio first started playing together. They have played a number of concerts and events at renowned hotels, concert halls and festivals in Norway. They have also had the pleasure of playing with international names such as Ulf Wakenius, Benny Benack III and Davide Cerreta. As a strong and upwardly energetic trio, they are in the process of establishing themselves as one of Europe's finest young jazz trios! The trio also draws inspiration from strong jazz trios such as Red Garland, Erroll Garner, Kenny Barron and Christian McBride Trio! Also lately the young Emmet Cohen Trio.
"We Take Requests" plays fiery swing jazz from the 1940s and 50s, played with youthful energy and joy - Now also relevant with the album "Too Close For Comfort"!
