Stageshow presents:
The Queen & Ben Elton Musical - We Will Rock You
Finally the Queen musical «WE WILL ROCK YOU» comes to Bergen!
The musical «We Will Rock You» is one of the greatest musical successes of the 2000s! A spectacular story written by English comedian and author Ben Elton is spun around supergroup Queen's greatest hits – arranged by band members Brian May and Roger Taylor. Here we hear «Bohemian Rhapsody», «I Want It All», «It's a Kind of Magic», «Don't Stop Me Now», «I Want to Break Free», «Radio Ga Ga», «Another One Bites the Dust», «Who Wants to Live Forever», «We Are the Champions» and (of course) «We Will Rock You», in addition to around twenty more songs. All are sung with the original English lyrics!
When the production finally comes to Bergen it is 25 years since the premiere at the Dominion Theatre in London in 2002 - where it played to full houses for a full 12 years. Since then it has made its triumphant way around the whole world. Our Norwegian premiere was at Folketeateret in Oslo in 2011. Now a new grand version is coming to Grieghallen after having played at Oslo Spektrum (2024) and in Kristiansand (2025).
At the head of a large ensemble, band and dancers is Bergen native Kim Fairchild in the role of «Killer Queen».
In other roles we find among others Håvard Bakke who broke through back in the 1990s in the films about «Pelle & Proffen» by Ingvar Ambjørnsen. He has since appeared in a number of films, TV series and musicals, and was among others part of the Norwegian premiere of «We Will Rock You» at Folketeateret in Oslo. Here he plays the fearless «Captain Khashoggi».
Eurovision contender Kajsa Sulutvedt plays «Scaramouche». A role she convincingly earned a top score for in Kristiansand in 2025. Kajsa was also seen at Grieghallen as «Rizzo» in the musical Grease last year. Now she is a backing vocalist for Norway's entry in the Eurovision final in Vienna.
Max Key Graarud comes directly from «Book of Mormon» and «Les Misérables» at Folketeateret in Oslo to play the lead role «Galileo» here at Grieghallen. Max also broke through early, and is the original «Pinky» in the Kaptein Sabeltann universe.
