The young Swedish ballad singer William Sundman Sääf comes to Lille Ole Bull as part of Bergen Live Sessions.
In just eight weeks William Sundman Sääf went from a few hundred followers to over 50,000. Swedish ballad music is experiencing a new golden age, and Sundman Sääf is among the names that more and more people are noticing. He has been compared to ballad artists such as Fred Åkerström and Sven-Bertil Taube, and is praised for a traditional expression that gives new life to the Swedish ballad heritage. At the same time his interpretations are personal and carefully crafted.
Sundman Sääf has made his mark in particular as an interpreter of Bellman. The albums Sundman tolkar Bellman and Jag kan dig aldrig förglömma have received glowing reviews and generated great interest among Swedish ballad enthusiasts.
In 2025 he received the Taube Society's cultural prize for young ballad musicians. The same year two of his songs were highlighted as «best right now» by Sveriges Radio P2, and he performed live on SVT's Go'kväll.
