WINTERSTØ (DUO) ON TOUR
After some scattered duo concerts over the last six months, Terje Winterstø Røthing and Thorbjørn André Bilstad Olsen have decided that this is something they want to do much more of. The more intimate concerts have been very well received, and now they are taking guitars, mandolin, banjo, two voices and a handful of songs out on the road.
Terje Winterstø Røthing, known from Kaizers Orchestra and Skambankt, debuted this year as a solo artist with the album Verdalen Zoo. After touring and festivals with a full band, there will now be a round of concerts with a more intimate character, where the songs get to breathe a little differently, and the stories behind them get more space. With him he has Thorbjørn André Bilstad Olsen, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. He has been a central part of the Winterstø band from the start, and leaves a clear mark on the sound with warm guitar textures, mandolin, banjo and vocal harmonies.
At the concerts there will be songs from Verdalen Zoo, new Winterstø songs and some carefully selected gems from the Skambankt catalogue, stripped down, twisted around a little and performed in a way you have likely not heard them before.
