Throughout the year, we invite audiences to our concerts in Oslo, Bergen, and at Ramme in Hvitsten.
In Bergen, our concerts are being held every month in the beautiful Bergen University Aula, located next to Natural History Museum/the Botanic Gardens at Muséplassen 3. We also have a separate summer series in the historic Håkonshallen located next to Bryggen, starting 17th August 2025.
History and Significance
When Aulaseriene was established in 2020 by pianist and Artistic Director Thormod Rønning Kvam, the first seasons included concerts in the renowned University Aula in Oslo and in the Aula Hall at Ramme — built as a miniature of the original Aula in Oslo. Several of Edvard Munch's monumental Aula wall paintings have motifs from Ramme, and together with chamber music, they create a unique backdrop for a complete cultural experience.
In 2024, we could finally welcome audiences to our concerts in the beautiful, new Bergen University Aula. With Christie Café on first floor and a spectacular view from Bryggen to Fløien, the audience are guaranteed a complete cultural experience when top class musicians enter the stage and perform programmes featuring both well-known and rarely performed pieces.
From August 2025, we will also be hosting evening concerts every summer in Håkonshallen — a national cultural heritage site just a short walk from Bryggen in Bergen.
