The stretch is about 5km with fun waves and rapids along the way. It just tough enough to have fun and beeing able to play around, but at the same time have a safe rafting experience. Uteguiden can promise you excitement, swimming in the river and not least served a local delicacy. Grading of the the family strech of Valldøla river, is grade 2. This means a lot of fun, but also calmer parts where you get to enjoy the scenery.
Meet at Uteguiden's office
The trip start at Uteguiden's office, where the welcoming guides will inform you about today’s trip and provide each guest with important rafting equipment: Wetsuits, rafting shoes, helmets, and life jackets. From the office there will be transfer to the where the rafting begins. Here the trip leader will give a thorough safety briefing, before splitting the group into different boats with their own guide and the adventure begins!
Rafting down the river
After some easy training in a safe area the trip starts with a few fun warm up waves through the first section before you try a couple of bigger rapids. Along the way and as the river calms, there are multiple raft games the guides will let you try! You will also find a place to stop along the riverbank where all guests get the opportunity to swim a fun river rapid. It is a surprising and rewarding experience to feel the power of the river as you safely float through the waves. Once everyone has cooled off enough swimming in the river we continue downstream through high mountains and endless fields of strawberries.
After 5 km of beautiful scenery, adventure and excitement, you pull your rafts up at river bank to end the trip. You light a fire, warm up water, and serve a local delicacy, Svele, with local strawberries and cream. A great way to refuel while waiting on the transfer back to our office.
