Zum Hauptinhalt

First this was the old village road and were the livestock was chased morning and evening, on their way to grassing (the cows stayed here until the summer 2004). Then there was built small houses, church sheds and other public buildings as well as a school that is one of a kind in this area.

Back in the days people who lived in the mountain areas used the church sheds to change into their church wear and to eat their lunch, before rowing away to Dale church.

The street name, Fundergata, goes back to the days were there were merchants selling liquor from the Danish firm Christian Funder. Cognac arrived on oak barrels with the firm name on, that were left in the streets naming it eventually.
