On 4 July 2022 at 6 pm., Guide MICHELIN will present this year's Nordic stars restaurants and MICHELIN Special Award from the Stavanger concert hall. This year, the launch of the new MICHELIN stars will take place in a significant, physical event where the Nordic chefs and several guests will participate. Media from all of the Nordic countries will be able to participate and follow the ceremony from the Stavanger concert hall.
Why Stavanger as the host city?
The Stavanger region is known for and recognised for its high level of cooking, as a producer of local food and vegetables, a large scale sheep production and as an excellent hub for some of the world’s best chefs. The region was home to the Gastronomic Institute, is now recognised with two MICHELIN Stars restaurants, and has for many years served as the natural environment for the national teams to train before participating in Bocuse d’Or.
