HansenHjørnet is Stavanger's largest outdoor restaurant, with around 200 seats. The sun shines here all day, or at least it seems like it. Should the weather act up, however, they have parasols, heat lamps, blankets and cheerful staff to keep the temperature and mood up. Situated right in the heart of the harbour and Stavanger city centre, HansenHjørnet is the place to see and be seen!

Pub and Stavanger's oldest house?

Skagen 18 is one of Stavanger's oldest and most beautiful buildings, with a building history dating back to the beginning of the 18th century. The property has been owned by the Hansen family for over 300 years. Until 1986, the building was continuously used for commerce and trade; merchant trade, shipping company, wine trade and ship trade. On the first floor, the owner and his family had their home until 1940, after which the rooms were used as offices. In 1987-89, the building, which has been listed since 1924, was thoroughly restored under the direction of the National Heritage Board. It now appears as a unique and extremely well-preserved example and the finest of 18th-century architecture in Stavanger.
