Join our guided tour to learn about the medieval way of life in Bergen and the stories told through the artifacts displayed in our exhibition.

The extensive archaeological excavations at Bryggen in the 1950s and 60s opened a new door to the mysterious Middle Ages. Several meters below ground the archaeologists found building remains, runic inscriptions and huge amounts of other artifacts that tell stories of international trade, pirate attacks, faith, love, power, and everyday life.

Duration approximately 45 minutes. Meeting point reception at Bryggens Museum.
