Charming Flørlistølen is a paradise nestled in a beautiful forest area with excellent opportunities for berry picking. If you're lucky, you might even spot elk at sunset! The cabin is directly connected to the trail network, Lysefjorden Rundt, making it a great stop along the way if you're exploring Lysefjorden. The surrounding area is also ideal for those who wish to spend the night in a hammock. The road from Flørli dock goes through steep terrain along the old mountain farm road. You can also choose to take the Flørlitrappene (4444 steps) to reach the cabin. By the time you reach the top of the stairs, you will have climbed 740 meters in altitude. From there, you can either take a longer round trip of about 3 hours or a shorter route of about 45 minutes along the old railroad worker's path (rallarstien). You can find the rallarstien by going to the right over the dam and following the cairns. The cabin is simply equipped for cooking and staying overnight. It has kitchen utensils, tableware, and bed linens, but there is no food storage at this cabin. There is no electricity, but there is gas available for cooking, as well as firewood and candles for lighting. You are responsible for cooking, fetching water, washing dishes, cleaning the floors, and ensuring the cabin is tidy both inside and outside. Sleeping bags or bed linens should be used on the beds. It is important to take all trash with you when you leave the cabin, which can be disposed of in the waste container at Flørli dock. Despite its simple furnishings and showing its age, the cabin received new windows, mattresses, duvets, furniture, and a stove in 2018. Service level: Self-service Beds: 6 beds Opening hours: Year-round Key: Special key The cabin must be pre-booked. As a member of the Stavanger Tourist Association, you receive approximately a 30% discount on rental cabins.
