Åpningskonsert: Norsk festaften

Norwegian program with Grieg, Svendsen, Halvorsen, Kvandal, and Sommerro, among others.

This year's festival profile Ragnhild Hemsing, together with pianist Håvard Gimse, will fill the first part of the concert with works by Svendsen, Halvorsen, and Grieg. Where Grieg's violin sonata in C minor will be one of the main works. The second part will include the premiere of a duet by Henning Sommerro with Ai-Ling Chiu and Kristina Farstad Bjørdal, as well as Johan Kvandal's quintet for Hardanger fiddle and string quartet.
