For over a decade, Christel Alsos’ Christmas concerts have become a tradition — not only for the audience but also for the artist herself. In 2023, she marked the 10-year anniversary of her album “I den kalde vinter” by releasing new Christmas songs. Christel says she feels incredibly fortunate to return to this music each year — music that has become a tradition and an essential part of her own Christmas celebrations.
“Christmas concerts are unique in how they bring people together across generations and attract many who may not usually be in my audience,” she explains.
The Christmas music and concerts give Christel motivation. She wants to offer a glimpse into a safe and warm world — one that exists only during the concert or when listening to the music — inviting listeners to surrender to the special, magical atmosphere that creates that undefinable Christmas spirit.
“I don’t need to believe in Santa Claus to believe that Christmas carries its own atmosphere — a time filled with good memories, togetherness, and hope. Hope for precious moments with loved ones, hope for the coming year, and hope for both one’s own world and the wider world.”
On stage, Christel will be joined by Lisa Voldsdal Sørensen, Jo Berger Myhre, and Andreas Löwe. This excellent group is ready once again to bring the audience Christmas spirit in 2025.
