The ensemble consists of talented students from the jazz programme at the University of Stavanger and professional performers from the regional jazz scene.
Bjergsted Jazz Ensemble is a project-based big band that has for many years been a cornerstone of the region’s cultural life, currently led by trumpeter and composer Simen Kiil Halvorsen.
