Students from the Grieg Academy take the stage, ensuring memorable musical experiences nearly every day at 12:00 and 15:00 during the Festival.
These short daytime concerts offer a variety of musical genres – with a focus on the classical repertoire. There will be concerts with everything from solo performances to a chamber orchestra.
The concert series are a popular Festival tradition with a more than 50 year long history, plenty of surprises, and a great atmosphere. Among previous artists in the Drop-in concert series include Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen, who will also give a concert at the 2026 Festival. Maybe it’s the next classical sensation that will appear on the Drop-in stage?
