In recent years, Eva Weel Skram has started a much-loved tradition of performing Christmas concerts, bringing all her festive favourites along. Nearly 10 years have passed since Eva released her first Christmas song, and anyone who has experienced one of her concerts can attest that Eva and her musical companions masterfully blend traditional Christmas carols with spectacular holiday hits in a dynamic, entertaining, and atmospheric way.
One of Eva’s first songs with Norwegian lyrics was “Selmas Sang”, the theme song for the NRK series Snøfall. The song has long secured a place among new Norwegian Christmas classics, and has since been joined by “Falle til ro”, which she wrote for the Netflix hit Hjem til jul.
Eva has repeatedly proven that she is a master at interpreting other artists’ songs, such as “Nå tennes tusen julelys” and “Romjulsdrøm”. Eva’s recording of the Christmas classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” has been given new life as “Tid med mjuke pakkar”, with newly written Norwegian lyrics by Trygve Skaug.
