The smash hit Evig ung returns to Stavanger and Kuppelhallen on 21 February 2026. So far, over 125,000 (!) audience members have enjoyed this critically acclaimed comedy, which played to full houses at Chat Noir for 5 (!) seasons. The last time it came to Stavanger, tickets sold out instantly.
Evig ung is a musical comedy full of rock’n’roll, warmth, and devilishly cheeky humour. Several decades after their heyday as actors, Hege Schøyen, Ingar Helge Gimle, Henrik Mestad, Hilde Lyrån, Paul-Ottar Haga, and Gisle Børge Styve have moved into a retirement home. The building, formerly the prestigious Kuppelhallen, has now been transformed to accommodate the city’s ageing population.
Here, the elderly actors have settled in to enjoy their later years and reminisce about a time long gone. The monotony is first broken when the strict nurse, played by Mari Kjølstad, starts sing-alongs and condescending activities like “head, shoulders, knees, and toes.” Because that’s what old people like, right?
Despite being over 90, the gang refuses to fade away. One day, the seniors have had enough. As soon as the nurse turns her back, their inner rebels awaken with a primal force that has survived since their theatre glory days. It turns out there’s still plenty of spark in their old bodies—they’re not as resigned as they seem. For even though growing old can be tough, one can still feel 25 and long to play the lead role in their own life—one last time.
