Mongoland hardly needs an introduction, but Tou can offer a quick brief for any newcomers. The low-budget film by Arild Østin Ommundsen was groundbreaking for Stavanger as a film city when it premiered in 2001. The cast, who were film students at the time, have since become some of the biggest acting names in Norway and the Nordics. Mongoland is a warm and wickedly funny film, and it holds a special place in the hearts of those of us who come from this city.
