Fredriksberg Jazzensemble invites the audience behind the closed doors of America’s Prohibition era – a world of secret passwords, homemade moonshine brewed in teapots, dancing flapper girls, and melodies trembling with a longing for freedom and forbidden pleasure. The audience will experience authentic, period-style jazz brought vividly to life by the band’s seven members. The music is framed by short dramatic stories and light-hearted episodes from the club scene, with the rebellious spirit of jazz at its core – just as audiences experienced it when the illegal became the most colourful of all.
