Gaza's Silent Threat is an award-winning short documentary that provides a powerful and intimate look at how two humanitarian workers risk their lives to protect 600,000 children against polio in the midst of war's chaos. The film follows Dr. Younis R. Awadallah, a retired doctor and grandfather who travels from tent to tent in southern Gaza to vaccinate children, despite repeated bombings and mortal danger.
With gripping images and real stories from the field, the film reminds us of the power of solidarity and how heroism and hope can survive even under the most extreme conditions.

The film is shown in collaboration with UNICEF Norway. Kyrre Lind, UNICEF Norway's senior international advisor and vaccine expert, will be available to answer questions from the audience after the screening.

Since 1975, UNICEF has helped save 154 million lives with vaccines. This is why polio has been reduced by 99.9%. Yet millions of children still remain without polio vaccination.
