Glød is an annual light festival that illuminates Stavanger city centre during the winter months. The festival brings together audiences of all ages for atmospheric experiences with light art in urban spaces – from large-scale installations and projections to small, sensory works. Glød creates space for wonder, community and reflection during an otherwise dark time of year.
The festival presents both local and international artists and emphasises accessibility and diversity. Much of the festival takes place outdoors and some events are free to experience. Glød aims to make art part of everyday life and bring light, warmth and creativity to the streets of Stavanger.
