Guttejente

After the success of the Pride-awarded romantic comedy Varm melk med honning, which also visited Teaterfest 2024, Maiken Schjøll Frisch is back with us. She now comes with a new performance that gives us yet another good reason to raise the pride flag.

In the solo performance "Guttejente", Maiken gives you a personal story about growing up and her relationship with her own body and orientation, while also tackling the fight for rights and the heated debate about gender expression. With humor and seriousness, she deals with prejudice and narrow-mindedness in the hope of creating more understanding and love in the world.

She herself is an overgrown tomboy from Abildsø, who suddenly became a woman. But what is a woman? What is gender? Orientation? And what does it really mean to be different? Maiken has a lot on her mind. She will try her best to keep her tongue straight, which is demanding for a lesbian, so she can't promise anything.

"To be human is to be different." Kim Friele said it quite clearly, but it seems like some people are having a hard time with it.
