The audience will hear a musical poetry reading presented by Jan Erik Vold in conjunction with melodies from American cool jazz, so-called lines combined with Norwegian folk tones, led by saxophonist John Pål Inderberg. The lyrics are taken from several of Jan Erik's own poems and publications, including from the album 'Her er huset som Per bygde' and the legendary 'Blåmann, blåmann!'.

Jan Erik Vold (b. 1939) is a poet, re-poet, literary writer and communicator. His poetry includes everything from nonsense poems to politically engaged poetry. Jan Erik Vold has released several albums in collaboration with well-known jazz musicians, including Chet Baker, Jan Garbarek and his long-term musical collaboration partner and regular pianist, Egil Kapstad.

John Pål Inderberg (b. 1950) is a saxophonist, arranger and composer. He has collaborated with jazz greats such as Lee Konitz, Warne Marsh and Bjørn Alterhaug. Inderberg has been an associate professor and section leader at the Jazzlinja at NTNU in Trondheim for several decades and was awarded the King's Medal of Merit for his important contribution to the Norwegian jazz scene.
