Norway’s new country star is coming to Bergen Live Sessions!
Karen Moe (21) is a country singer from Verdal with deep roots in both farm life and music. Raised in a musical family with country in her blood, she discovered her passion for the genre early on. When she, as a teenager, discovered the Dixie Chicks, it opened the door to a world of strong female country artists – and her love for Dolly Parton, Shania Twain and similar icons grew quickly.
Since she was 14, Karen has performed on stages all over, sharing her music through warm, honest lyrics and an expression firmly rooted in country tradition.
Earlier this year, she won the talent competition “Norway’s New Country Star” – organized by Universal Music Norway and United Stage. The competition has become an important arena for discovering and elevating new Norwegian country talent. Last year’s winner, Tobias Sten, has already become one of the country’s biggest artists. With this achievement behind her, Karen Moe has taken major steps as an artist and established herself as one of the most exciting new voices to follow in Norwegian country music.
