Stavanger’s own Kitchen Orchestra presents the traditional yet unconventional Christmas concert! 2025 marks the band’s 20th anniversary. After a busy year including a jubilee concert at Tou Scene and Kongsberg Jazz Festival, the year concludes with a spectacular Christmas event at Folken.
Expect surprises: pyro, a possible organ “slaughter” on stage, guest appearances, festive chaos, and more. Will all band members, guest musicians, and special additions fit on stage alongside the Christmas tree, multiple percussionists, bassists, horns, saxophones, vocalists, and other festive elements?
Folken promises a stage as carefully decorated as a bachelor’s Christmas. The programme blends traditional Christmas music, free jazz, contemporary pieces, pop elements, and theatrical self-reflection, with returning guest artists joining the festivities.
