With roots in Treungen and Bamble and growing up in Skien, Ingvild has established herself as one of Norway’s most distinctive singer-songwriter pop voices.
She has received praise from GAFFA, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Ola Bremnes, and music journalists who highlight her intimate, vulnerable, and clear expression, and she has been compared to artists such as Kari Bremnes and Joni Mitchell.
Since her debut album Stemme lengter (2018), Ingvild has released three critically acclaimed albums. In 2023 came Dette lyset, and in 2025 she released a new version of “Si no som hjelper” from this album together with artist Randi Oline. The song was used in Amnesty’s Pride campaign throughout the summer. She is now ready with her fourth album, completing a musical cycle of the seasons. This time, the themes are the warmth of summer, closeness and distance, and finding one’s place in life – conveyed in the way only Ingvild can.
