With a twinkle in the eye and a slanted look at women's thoughts and feelings, Teater Manu presents a humorous guide to how the female body actually works, from orgasm to childbirth, from childhood via menstruation, menopause and plastic surgery to the challenges of old age... It's just a joy to watch.
The book "Woman, know your body" by Danish Kamilla Wargo Brekling was published in 1976, and quickly received the label "the feminist bible". It was presented as a revolutionary call to support women's self-worth and self-respect. In the 50 years that have passed, the text has acquired an almost iconic sheen.
The theater performance "Woman, know your body" has been staged a number of times. This is the first time the performance has been translated into Norwegian sign language.
