Maria Haukaas Mittet is back with new music — ready to fill Norwegian concert stages with warmth, humor, and depth. “Haill” is the first taste from the album Søraførr, set to be released in spring 2026, where Maria combines humor, warmth, and raw life wisdom in a song for anyone needing a friendly nudge.
The music is created in collaboration with the Tromsø brothers Espen Lind and Geir Hvitsten, who, like Maria, spent the first part of their lives in the north before heading south. With roots in the north and a life in the south, they present both the city girl and the true Nordlander within Maria.
The tour is built around the upcoming album and her previous project Øyliv/Byliv — offering a wide emotional range, from tender and understated to playful and life-affirming. Maria is joined by outstanding musicians, together filling the stage with varied instrumentation, close presence, and a playful musical experience.
Inspired by songwriters like Terje Nilsen, Trygve Hoff, and Lars Bremnes, Maria shares her own stories from Senja and life in the south — but these are not just stories from the north. They are songs about belonging and exclusion, community and longing, resonating with people across the country. Maria continues to impress audiences with her strong and beautiful voice, storytelling, and musical finesse.
Maria Haukaas Mittet is known for her victory in Stjernekamp in 2015, memorable Christmas concerts, and her firm connection with audiences — and now she is ready to share everything from brand-new music to well-loved songs from her previous releases.
