Misty Coast is the dream-pop offspring of Linn Frøkedal and Richard Myklebust, also known from Bergen noise stalwarts The Megaphonic Thrift. Since their debut album in 2017, they have played a three-digit number of shows across Scandinavia, the UK, Europe and Japan, been nominated for the Spellemann Award, released four critically acclaimed albums and made music lovers float away with their distinctive, dreamy psych-pop. They are known for strong guitar hooks, fuzzy basslines and pop melodies so clear they cut through fog, and are often compared to bands such as Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star and Broadcast.
On 24 April they release the album “Always Sun”, and the occasion is celebrated with a release concert presented by Perfect Sounds Forever at Landmark on 15 May.
The duo is joined by Eirik Kirkemyr on drums and Håkon Brunborg on guitar, keys and strings, and the concert is delivered as always with a daydream guarantee. Put on your sunglasses and come along!
