Moldejazz is one of Europe’s most renowned jazz festivals and has attracted audiences to beautiful Molde since 1961 with a world-class program. Every summer in week 29, the city transforms into a lively festival arena with around 120 concerts and over 500 artists from both near and far.
The festival fills streets, stages, and intimate venues with everything from grand main concerts to experimental contemporary jazz, offering unique experiences for music lovers and those simply wanting to feel the atmosphere. Around 60,000 people visit Molde during festival week, and the city is buzzing with life, food, culture, and human connections.
Moldejazz is based in the cultural center Plassen, which is also home to Storyville Jazz Club and several other cultural institutions. In addition to the festival, Storyville Jazz Club offers concerts year-round in Molde.
