Not just anyone gets to be a New Year’s guest at the 2026 New Year’s Concerts! Kim Wigaard won Stjernekamp on NRK in 2025, and before that, he also took the top spot as the character Stein in Maskorama on the same channel. And that’s not even mentioning his work as conductor of the Dementia Choir, which took Norway by storm a couple of years ago. As if that weren’t enough, Kim has also participated in Idol, The Voice, and the Melodi Grand Prix.
In other words, one is getting to know a versatile and highly talented singer at the New Year’s Concerts. Besides being an artist himself, Kim runs the vocal school Stemmeakademiet. He is also a vocal coach for several of Norway’s biggest artists.
Klepp Hornmusikk is therefore very excited to welcome the new year with Kim as the New Year’s guest! The New Year’s Concerts have been an institution in Jæren for over 30 years, and this is a concert that many simply must attend at the start of a new year. As usual, a varied programme of music from a festive group on stage awaits.
