We are so lucky that our loyal audience is with us every year, and this event is therefore very central as a motivation and gathering point for musicians and audience. We are ready to recreate this in 2026!

Soloists

We always set the bar very high for soloists who will perform with our bands at the New Year's Concert, because our audience expects and deserves it! This year is no exception, and once again we are doing a twist with something exciting and new where it will be a real show. This time we have managed to bring with us the very experienced musicians Heine Totland and Karianne Kjærnes!

Heine Totland

Heine Totland debuted as a solo artist with the album Tough Times For Gentlemen in 2005, and then went straight into the VG list Topp20. In recent years, he has been relevant with the performance Musikk e komme for å bli saman med Gisle Børge Styve. As the versatile artist that he is, Heine can boast of leading roles in major musicals such as: Mamma Mia!, Buddy Holly, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar and not least Les Miserables. In 2010, he also participated in the Norwegian final of the Melodi Grand Prix with the song The Best of Me is You. Heine has also been seen on NRK's ​​Beat for Beat several times. Heine's own 50's Rock & Roll band, Heine Totlands Rock & Roll Circus, tours around the country and is often seen at major festivals.

Karianne Kjærnes

Karianne Kjærnes has gone from being one of the country's most profiled choristers to now shining in the spotlight as a solo artist. For a number of years, she has performed in major TV productions such as Beat for Beat, Allsang på Grensen, Hver gang vi møtes, the Nobel Concert - and has been in the international final of the Eurovision Song Contest six times. The highlight came in 2009 when she, together with Alexander Rybak, went all the way to the top in Moscow with a record-high score. After a successful choral career in the MGP universe, Karianne chose to turn her attention to the solo stage. With an impressive track record from revue and theater, she has made a name for herself with shows that combine music and humor – to standing ovations. In 2019, she debuted with her own solo show, Bare Karianne, at Verket Scene in Moss, and since then it has been a hit. In recent years, she has toured with Heine Totland and Roger Allan Ivin with the humor show Heine Aleine - and two more.

The New Year's concert has been a success for the choir for almost 25 years, and has become an attractive cultural event in our region. This year we have soloists who will not only perform with the choir, but will also provide great entertainment on their own during the concert! We are very happy, and we hope you are too.
