Oldtimers Big Band invites you to their fourth New Year’s Ball – a true tradition! Every year the hall has been full, the crowd cheerful, dance shoes glowing, and applause echoing through the room. So what do we do? We do it again!
The Oseana Hall is transformed into a sparkling dance floor: round tables, crisp tablecloths, smiling people and a big band on stage playing with soul, power and elegance. This is the night for anyone who wants to start the year with style, swing and smiles!
Our regular vocalist Marita Moe Sandven is of course joining us, and together with Fredrik Schmidt Fotland she delivers musical gems from stars like Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Dean Martin, Stevie Wonder and more. Band leader and trumpeter Are Ovesen keeps the swing wheels turning and has filled the repertoire with new tunes – energetic swing favourites and unforgettable melodies that make it impossible to sit still.
