For the 6th year in a row, Bergen National Opera invites you to the final concert of the Summer Academy Opera by the Fjord!
This time, highlights from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Bizet’s Carmen are on the programme, presented in a staged performance. Perhaps you will hear tomorrow’s opera stars for the very first time, in major roles such as Carmen, Don José, Figaro and Susanna.
This year, the academy orchestra consists of 35 young orchestral musicians who perform together with their section leaders, all from major opera houses or symphony orchestras. The concertmaster is Maxim Brilinsky, principal first violin of the Vienna Philharmonic.
Opera by the Fjord – Summer Academy is organised by Bergen National Opera in collaboration with Oseana Arts and Cultural Centre, and is supported by the Grieg Foundation, Sparebankstiftelsen DnB, Talent Norge, Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank and GC Rieber Foundations.
