Operafestukene in Kristiansund is an annual celebration of opera and classical music held every February. The festival brings together professional soloists, amateurs, and volunteers to create a range of performances and concerts. Events take place both in the traditional cultural building Festiviteten and in more informal venues such as cafés, libraries, and even on the Sundbåten ferry.
In 2026, the festival will, for the first time, use the new cultural center Normoria, opening in the fall of 2025. This marks a new era for the festival, with modern facilities and increased capacity.
