POOR BAMBI
Dirtier than an oil spill, Poor Bambi comes roaring out of Norway’s oil capital, cutting straight to the bone with an explosive mix of noise rock and punk. As a living counterpoint to polished perfection, they deliver an energetic, intense and spontaneous live show – a collision between controlled frustration and total devotion to the music. The trio consists of Sarah Hestness (vocals/guitar), Espen Eidem (guitar) and Simen Amundrud (drums).
Poor Bambi have made their mark both in Norway and internationally. In January 2024, the band released the single “Unbreakable”, which was playlisted by KEXP (USA), praised by NRK P13 Musikk’s Totto Mjelde as “one of the best songs of the year”, and included on Deichman Library’s list of the year’s best singles. They have released several singles, including “Business or Pleasure” and “Colour Does Not Exist”, produced by Nicholas Sansano (Sonic Youth, Public Enemy).
Their debut album “Skyscrapers Soaring, Yet We’re Drowning” will be released on 6 February 2026 on Apollon Records. The album is dark, intense and full of contrasts, where the oil-glossed city meets underground desperation, giving sound to a world in transition.
The band has previously completed two Norwegian tours, played festivals such as Jærnåttå, Fjellparkfestivalen and 100 Dagar, and performed in New York.
