The new Oslo trio Scoreboard delivers noisy, fuzz-drenched, atmospheric rock with heavy, Swervedriver-inspired, soul-piercing guitars, drowned-out vocals, and laid-back drumming, drawing inspiration from the American DIY scene. Stylistically, they evoke bands like DIIV, The Megaphonic Thrift, and They Are Gutting a Body of Water.
In February 2025, the band released their debut single, "Ropey Rampage," part of their upcoming release. The track has been praised in the media, recommended by Urørt on P3, and played on radio stations in Norway, England, and the USA. In June, "Rush Spells" followed, receiving enthusiastic responses both at home and abroad.
Scoreboard is Astrid Garmo (Pumpegris, Future Nostalgia) on vocals and guitar, Emil Askelien Gustafsson (FOAMMM) on guitar, and Mikkel Syvertsen (FOAMMM) on drums. They are joined by Christian Franzén (Selmer, Overcity, Franzen, Cardrivers).
