Something bad has happened to Agnes. But life goes on—at least for everyone around her
In her directorial debut, Eva Victor follows student Agnes on her journey to becoming a professor and explores how life unfolds before and after a trauma. What follows is a funny, sad, and thought-provoking portrait of a woman whose life has gone off track.
Told through fragments, the film unfolds like a puzzle, capturing the complexity left in the wake of an assault, as well as the triumphs and setbacks in the process of healing as a human being.
Sorry, Baby had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this year, where it won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award. The film also screened in the prestigious Directors' Fortnight section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
