Cactus – A Solo Show by Jonis Josef

RATING SIX "Cactus is something the white majority should not only see but must see – I insist. (...) Jonis Josef gives the majority something to think about with a perfectly executed autobiography" – NRK

"With his new show Cactus, Jonis Josef delivers the performance of his life. Literally." – Dagsavisen

Cactus is a show where humour and seriousness meet. Comedian and storyteller Jonis Josef invites the audience into a vivid, honest, and often surprising portrait of a life lived on the edge. He shares stories from his background, his journey, and the choices that shaped him — blending warmth, humour, and seriousness seamlessly.

This is Jonis Josef’s first solo show since Woke premiered in 2020. Cactus is an honest stand-up performance exploring his career, life, burnout, racism, highs, and many lows.

Jonis is known for award-winning series like Kongen Av Gulset and Kasko, appearances on shows like På Tur Med Monsen and Kongen Befaler, and recently went viral worldwide on the US social media show SubwayTakes, viewed by over 20 million people.

The stand-up award winner (2020–2022) has spent over five years creating Cactus. The audience is warmly invited to get up close and experience Jonis Josef’s unique, sometimes strange life journey.

Having spent the past year between Oslo and New York, Jonis has gained significant attention in the US. This is his final Norwegian tour before moving abroad. If you want to see Jonis Josef live, this may be your last chance!
