Welcome to an atmospheric, virtuosic, and fate-laden concert.
Into the Music: Join a free pre-concert talk with Kristin Bade Veire in the VIP room on the 5th floor at 18:30.
The concert opens with Rolf Gupta’s evocative Epilog from Jordens Sang, offering a gentle reflection on humanity’s relationship with nature. This is followed by Anders Hillborg’s expressive and virtuosic Violin Concerto — a work that challenges both performer and listener. Finally, experience Tchaikovsky’s moving Fifth Symphony, with its fate-laden themes and emotional intensity. Though poorly received at its premiere in 1888, and initially called a failure by Tchaikovsky himself, it is now regarded as one of the most famous and frequently performed symphonies of all time.
