Use one small hour of your life, and you will change your view of tennis forever—and to fill your sports bag with a stack of book recommendations.

The podcast Tennis Stories comes to the Literature House stage to prepare you for the upcoming tennis season. Which players and questions will define 2026?

Does Novak Djokovic have one last Slam left in him? Will Casper Ruud win his first? Jostein Gjertsen and Åsmund Ådnøy also explain tennis’s many strange yet fundamental elements. What’s the difference between a bagel and a breadstick? Why is the ball yellow? Questions from the audience are just as welcome as a one-handed backhand at sunset.

Using the tennis year as their guiding star, Gjertsen and Ådnøy also lead you to the must-read books about the sport—from Andre Agassi’s depressive autobiography Open, via Conor Niland’s account of life in the lower tiers of the rankings in The Racket, to Gudmund Skjeldal’s tribute to style, sun and Roger Federer in Wimbledon – Where the Grass Is Greenest.

Doors open at 6:00 pm.
