- Strauss’ last songs performed by one of our leading sopranos.
It is a pleasure to welcome TrondheimSolistene back to Bergen. This time they are joined by Elisabeth Teige, who in recent years has enjoyed a meteoric rise at major international opera houses within the musical worlds of Wagner and Strauss. On the programme is Strauss’ immortal Vier letzte Lieder, one of his final completed works - and, of course, Morgen.
To bring us back down to earth, TrondheimSolistene will perform Gustav Holst’s folk music–inspired St Paul’s Suite, as well as Beethoven’s String Quartet in F minor, presented in an orchestral version. The musical director for the evening is Marianne Thorsen. This is a concert not to be missed!
