Von August is an alternative electropop trio that invites the audience into dreamy landscapes where playful imagination and existential reality flow into one another. Their music is carried by vocal harmonies with a folk-inspired character, acoustic instruments, modular synths and drum machines. Through philosophical and heartfelt lyrics and catchy electronic soundscapes, they create their own vacuum for introspection and movement, reaching both the heart and the dance floor.
Since their formation in 2018, they have released several singles and the album Blåøyd (2021), which was later followed by a remix version created in collaboration with a number of Norwegian electronic artists. They have received praise for their contribution to the new wave of Norwegian-language pop, and from Ballade.no for their role in the Norwegian electronic music scene. The trio has played on numerous stages across Norway and spent the past three years refining their sound and shaping their second album, Samme hvor du går, released on 2 May 2025. With this album, they have sought to put both words and sound to what lies within human relationships, platonic love, and feelings - or the absence of feelings - connected to community.
