All year round, exciting exhibitions from both local and national artists are presented in the bright, beautiful gallery at Alnes lighthouse and experience centre. The admission is even free – let’s head to the most beautiful place on the most beautiful island!

Program

You will find the exhibition program at Alnes Fyr Art Gallery - Alnesfyr

In the centre’s elegant building, discreetly integrated into the terrain, you can take a break, look at art and get an insight into the exciting lighthouse history on the island. In the cafe, you can buy delicious, locally produced food and cakes – the lighthouse cake is famous! Would you like to bring something home for yourself or as a gift? The café also offers a selection of unique and handmade products for sale.

Both the gallery and the café can be used as a party, concert, and event venue if you are planning something special.

Alnes Lighthouse

If you take the trip up the steep stairs in the old lighthouse from 1876 (entrance fee), you can admire the view from above, as well as a beautiful art exhibition by the renown Norwegian artist Ørnulf Opdahl on your way up. Enjoy the spectacular sea and sky view, breathe in the fresh air, and let your mind wander!
