Austrevågen has a sandy beach and is great for families. It is equipped with toilets. From Bergen city center, drive towards Flesland airport, turn left at the roundabout after Lagunen Shopping Center, then right by Fana Church. At the top of the hill before the descent to the Krokeide ferry terminal, turn left. (Just after Krokeide Skole)
Please note that there is no parking available at Austrevågen, so finding a parking spot can be challenging. You can park at the ferry terminal, but from there it takes about 15–20 minutes to walk to the beach.
You can also take bus number 61 from Lagunen Terminal to the stop called Krokeide. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk down to Austrevågen. The last part is quite steep, so allow extra time for the return trip. It is recommended to check the bus schedules in advance, as there can sometimes be long waits between buses.
