Description
From county road 541 at Vika, follow the signs towards Berge. A road leads all the way to Bergeshuset at Berge. Bergeshuset is a log house from the 1850s and is maintained by Bømlo Hiking and Heritage Association.
From Bergeshuset, a marked trail leads up to Bergesfjellet. Signs marked “Bergesfjellet” indicate the easiest route.
From the approximately 126-metre-high plateau, there are magnificent views. The mountain is visible far out at sea and features a flat summit with steep sides – like a large block. Bergesfjellet has long been used as a landmark for seafarers.
