Kloppemyrhytta – Day Trip Cabin in Stryn

Take a walk to Kloppemyrhytta, Stryn Municipality’s day trip cabin at Kloppemyra. It is a great place to take a break, enjoy your packed lunch, relax and browse the books, surrounded by nature and tranquillity.

The distinctive triangular cabin features large windows that let in plenty of natural light and create a strong connection with the surrounding landscape. Outdoor seating steps and benches invite you to sit down and enjoy the scenery, while the covered entrance provides shelter from the weather. The cabin has a wood-burning stove, indoor lighting and toilet facilities.

The hike to Kloppemyrhytta

From the car park at Øyravegen at Tonningsøyra, follow the marked trail along the Vikaelva river to Kloppemyra. The trail mostly passes through easy woodland terrain with a gentle incline. Kloppemyrhytta is located at approximately 250 metres above sea level.

The hike from the car park to the cabin is around 1.5 km and takes approximately 30–45 minutes at an easy pace.

You can also start the hike from the car park at Stryn Winter Ski Centre. Follow the ski trail for approximately 500 metres, then turn onto the marked trail towards Kloppemyrhytta and Stryn town centre. This route is around 1.7 km and takes approximately 30–45 minutes.

Parking

Parking for Kloppemyrhytta is available on the gravel car park to the left of Øyravegen at Tonningsøyra, west of Stryn Stadium.

From Kloppemyrhytta, you can continue hiking towards Stryn Winter Ski Centre.
